The community of orchestra students is unique. It is one of the only classroom communities that remain consistent from 5th-12th grade, spanning elementary, middle and high school.
Orchestra classes become very close-knit groups and these students are consistently among the school's best and brightest. Studies inicate that music students perform better on the MEAP, ACT, and SAT. Orchestra students also have increased scholarship opportunities as university orchestras are often hungry for good string players (regardless of their choice of major).
